And then there is the problem of what to do with your books once you are finished. Every school I have attended has boasted a wonderful Textbook buy-back program, but never once have I felt like I have received even a little bit of my money back. Usually they tell me that they have decided on a newer version and won't buy it at all, or give me $2 or $3 for a book I paid over $100 for. And the dreaded loose-leaf textbooks! After you finish the course, all they are good for is fire material!
Essentially, I have never been happy with my textbook purchasing experience.
That was until I heard of CampusBookRentals.com.
Here is a short video from the website that explains what their program is all about.
This program is incredible. I have so many old textbooks lying around from past semesters that I don't need, and I could have saved so much money and space if I had known about CampusBookRentals.com! Not only can you choose the amount of time you want to rent your book (three options plus a custom option where you choose the date!) but you can write in the book, and they send you materials to send the books back! It really is so simple!
I went onto their website, and typed in an old series of books one of my last schools used. The books rent for anywhere between $12 and $15, whereas Amazon has the books listed for close to $45 new!
And, I don't know about the rest of you, but I always feel better using a company that sponsors some sort of cause. CampusBookRentals.com has committed to donating 1,000 surgeries to Operation Smile, an organization that provides surgeries for children with cleft palates or cleft lips.
From the Operation Smile Website:
Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that heals children's smiles, forever changing their lives....Since 1982, Operation Smile — through the help of dedicated medical volunteers — has provided more than 2 million patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
As one of the most prominent children’s charities in the world and with a presence in over 60 countries, we are able to heal children’s smiles and bring hope for a better future.
Be sure to check out both of their websites, CampusBookRentals.com and Operation Smile to learn more about both. And the next time you are in the market to purchase any kind of textbooks, be sure to use CampusBookRentals.com!
